Areas of Practice
Individual Therapy
Your relationship with yourself is so important. During our work together, we will explore the ecosystem within your own world. We will sit together in the difficult realities, the illuminating ‘ah-ha’ moments, and through the seasons of what it is to be alive.
I work with youth ages 12 and up, young adults, and adults of any age.
During our work together, we will:
Create a safe and affirming space for healing
Collaborate to set goals and work towards them
Understand your needs and potential barriers
Map potential paths and practices to support your well being
Couples & Relationship Therapy
Relationships are all the things. Beautiful, complicated, illuminating, and difficult. Relationship therapy is no different and I am honored to be invited into a healing space with couples. I work with you to ensure that the support and care necessary for healing and growth is present. With each partner committed to the process, we can work together and learn to:
Understand the other persons’ perspective
Build skills to communicate, collaborate, and compromise
Make changes that work for each partner
Family Therapy
I love providing therapy to families of any configuration. I believe that some of our most important relationships are with the family we make a conscious choice to connect with.
Manage behaviors and communications that allow for support and collaboration within the family
Foster emotional growth
Build a strong family connection centered on mutual care
Problem-solve and test new skills
Gender Affirming Care Consultations
As a non-binary / transgender individual you deserve the best care, to fully be yourself and to experience gender euphoria.
As a clinician I do not support the necessity of letters from a therapist for hormones and/or gender affirming surgeries. More and more doctors are providing care without letters, but often insurance is still requiring them. While I don’t support the need for these I am happy to provide them to individuals seeking gender affirming hormone therapy or surgery.
Gender Affirming Care Consultations can be apart of ongoing therapy with me (which means it will be covered by insurance) or can be a separate one time meeting where I will gather information about you, your gender journey, current health and mental health, your support system, and answer any questions you have about the process.
Unfortunately, insurance doesn’t cover one time consultations. However, I do provide a sliding scale and the cost for the consultation includes the letter and any future letters/updates to the letter that insurance and/or your doctors require. My goal is to make this process as painless and cost effective as possible.
I am here to support you and your journey to being fully yourself! I look forward to meeting you and being part of that support network!
Regardless if I am meeting with an individual, family, parent and child, couple or multiple people in a polycule/multiple dynamic I meet you where you are at and adjust to your needs for therapy.
I believe in the power of talk therapy and saying out loud what is hardest to say. I believe the best gift we can give each other in life and I can provide as a therapist is validation of you, your experiences and provide space to learn and grow.
I identify as queer, non-binary/genderqueer and gay. I love being part of the LGBTQIA community and supporting individuals who are queer and/or queer supportive. I have worked with individuals who are Neurodiverse (ADHDers, Autistic Foks, and AuDHDers) for years now and have learned a lot through that work and ongoing training. I believe that understanding yourself and how your brain works is important, as well as having a space to process, body double, and learn tools to support your day to day functioning.
